Project Manager Data Governance

Qualitest seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and implement an end-to-end Data Governance framework from the ground up for our enterprise client. This is a strategic role requiring deep expertise in data governance principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full lifecycle of the Data Governance program from planning and strategy through execution and operationalization.
• Develop and implement Data Governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, business stakeholders, and IT to define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability.
• Establish and manage a data governance council or committee.
• Define and implement metadata management, data quality, data lineage, and data classification processes.
• Oversee the selection and implementation of Data Governance tools and platforms.
• Drive change management, user adoption, and data literacy across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with data regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
• Monitor progress and report on status, risks, and milestones to executive stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in Project Management, with at least 3 5 years focused on Data Governance or Data Management initiatives.
• Proven experience in building and leading Data Governance programs from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), data quality management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend is a plus.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related fields.

• Preferred experience with Atlan and Collibra tools.
