Marsh & McLennan Shared Services LLC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the New York, New York office (Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite):

Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

We will count on you to:

Develop, implement, and deploy custom data pipelines powering machine learning algorithms, insights generation, client benchmarking tools, business intelligence dashboards, reporting and new data products. Increase the efficiency of data collection and analysis processes and drive the monetization of that data through existing and new products for clients. Leverage multiple large datasets to drive revenues via the development of new products with the Data Strategy team, as well as the enhanced delivery of existing products. Consume data from a variety of sources (relational DBs, APIs, NetApp and other cloud storage, FTPs) & formats (Excel, Csv, xml, parquet, unstructured). Construct and maintain data pipelines between internal/external sources and the data lake utilizing modern ETL frameworks. Own the role of data steward for one or more datasets and implement innovative quality assurance practices, including automated validation with frameworks like dbt or Great Expectations. Implements metadata management capabilities, including lineage mapping. Participate in development standards across the team through code reviews, unit/integration testing, and monitoring. Perform basic exploratory data analysis to create & validate requirements for data pipelines.

What you need to have:

Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering or a related field, and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, as a Programmer Analyst, IT Analyst, or in a related occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Collaborating with business users, product managers and data scientists to gather requirements for new product developments and existing product enhancements; Performing analysis of requirements to identify risks, increase the efficiency of data collection and drive the monetization of that data through existing and new products; Developing custom data pipelines powering machine learning algorithms using business intelligence tools including Microsoft Azure data factory, Microsoft Azure data bricks, and Informatica PowerCenter; Implementing client benchmarking tools, insights generation, business intelligence dashboards, reporting and new data products using OBIEE, Power BI and Oracle Data bases; Designing, developing and performing customization of revenue management and billing (RM&B) for on premise and cloud applications; Designing and developing the headcount data mart based on workday source (HCDM) for reporting requirements using Informatica and OBIEE; Responsible for Version Controlling, maintaining the user stories and deployment of the code to different environments using JIRA; Automating the business process using programing languages including Python and Unix Scripting; Participating in development standards across the team through code reviews, unit/integration testing, and monitoring; and implementing metadata management capabilities, including lineage mapping.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $163,238.00 - $182,300.00 per year.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
