Knowledge, Skills, Education, and/or Experience:
4 years experience in applying the theory, principles, and techniques of speech-language therapy or audiology.
Must be able to lift, move, and position clients as needed.
Experience diagnosing, evaluating, and treating language and speech impairments.
Mandatory Skills/Certification(s) Requirement:
Current and valid license as a Speech Pathologist/Audiologist issued by the Audiology and Speech Language Pathology Advisory Committee, Division of Consumer Affairs, Dept of Law and Public Safety.
Preference given to applicants that possess a Speech Language Pathologist License.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job Duties:
Plan, direct, and conduct therapy programs designed to restore or improve communication efficiency.
Diagnose, evaluate, and treat language and speech impairments.
Provide referrals to medical specialists when needed.
Provide counseling and guidance to clients.
Write objectives, evaluations, and progress reports.
