Description
Mission:
1. Commodity sourcing and management of EE E-Mech and Mechanical components
2. Oversees all aspects of sourcing related functions including communication with suppliers/manufacturers and internal teams establish deliverable deadlines on-board suppliers and provide support cross-functionally per the assigned commodities
Day to Day:
1. Manage EE Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Components on PCBA BOMs
2. Negotiate contracts and component pricing with manufacturers and suppliers
3. Drive cost avoidance and work on cost reduction opportunities with suppliers and internal teams
4. Review the BOMs and establish alternate sourcing strategy for critical single source components
5. Manage RFIs RFPs and RFQs with suppliers
6. Provide support as escalation path on component Clear-To-Build CTB shortages
7. Attend CTB meetings with EMS suppliers Contract Manufacturers and manage component Part Purchase Variance PPV
8. Provide component forecast to manufacturers and suppliers
9. Review the BOMs for any obsolescence LTB and NRND Not recommended for new design resolutions
10. Work closely with internal teams to resolve quality related issues on components
11. Drive commodity strategies for the assigned components
12. Manage suppliers PCNs and internal changes
13. Place purchasing request/orders
14. Drive supplier annual business reviews
Must Haves:
1. 5 years of direct work experience on EE components Mech and Electro-Mechanical components
2. 5 years Project/program management experience within Supply Chain
3. Experience in managing tools and systems such as Smartsheet Confluence MS Excel JIRA SAP or similar ERP system
4. Experience in engineering preferably with semiconductors or related degree or work experience
5. Demonstrated capability to refine and articulate problem statements to wide audience engineering quality reliability legal and leaderships
6. Can multi-task and manage high complexity programs
7. Great and clear communication verbally and in writing - will be doing document write-ups
Good to have:
1. With Engineering degree and Supply Chain experience
2. Experience working on aerospace and automotive industries
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
