The IT Manager will manage all IT activities in the company and is responsible for leading the IT team in managing all company technology, assessing business needs and priorities, developing, testing, feature scopes, and code move processes.
The IT manager will manage, plan, and maintain the company's ERP system (D365), as well as oversee daily support using best practices for business operations in distribution/warehousing and manufacturing.
The IT Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and manage all aspects of new projects including scoping, kick off, design, development, testing, implementation, training, and change management.
Ensures all projects and goals are met and adheres to approved budgets. Conducts research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Forward thinker that will expand the company's use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives.
Manages staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs and oversees the IT support function.
The IT Manager is expected to be hands-on with technology and will assist with ongoing support, reporting needs and end user training in addition to managing internal and external resources.
The IT Manager will ensure that EDI related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects.
The IT Manager will also support Canada, and Monterrey Mexico locations.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Develop Short and Long-term goals for IT/ERP ensuring that hardware/software meets business requirements, goals, fulfills user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issues.
* Manage the design and review of new applications and integration strategies for all IT systems.
* Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure system security
* Perform network capacity planning.
* Liaise with vendors to recommend any additional hardware or software requirements needed for successful IT deployments, configuration, and maintenance that best meet company goals.
* Manage contract negotiations with hardware/software and service providers as needed.
* Liaise with company's suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
* Evaluate proposals to identify potential problem areas and make the appropriate recommendations.
* Collaborate internally and with vendor/consultants to implement a disaster recovery solution to enable business continuity
* Conduct research on EDI related hardware and software in support of procurement and system development efforts
* Evaluate IT/ERP applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
* Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of IT/ERP hardware/software programs and applications.
* Oversee daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the IT/ERP systems.
* Prepare and deliver activity and progress reports for presentation to management.
* Manage feasibility studies for IT/ERP products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
* Manage Systems Administrator and ERP Administrator to ensure ERP and Network needs are updated to date and fulfilling company needs.
* Manage and oversee an EDI program that includes processing of various transactions sets for Client US and Canada. Oversee the setup and maintain trading partner profiles, maps, and van services. Maintain and monitor connections with van services and AS2 communications. Oversee setup and review testing documents with new EDI trading partners for accuracy.
* Manage and oversee the company's LANs (local area network), WANs (wide area network), network segments, Internet, and intranet system infrastructure
Manage and oversee the administration and system security. Review all testing with users before any code is pushed to production. Coordinate SQL DB maintenance with vendor and System Administrator to determine the efficiency. Manage vendors and users any upgrades of software. Work with supervisors on security and setup of user groups. Work with System Administrator for troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, disaster recovery and provide support when necessary.
* Manage Systems Administrator to support, configure and administer firewall, routers, VPN (virtual private network) gateways, switches, access points, phone system, phones, smartphones, printers, scanners, copiers, computers, and laptops.
* Manage and oversee end-user software issues, as well as supplier EDI issues. Interacts with internal staff on all levels to help resolve ERP-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
* Manage Help Desk and oversee responses to incidents, and document resolution in agreed upon SLA (service level agreement). Create documentation of standardized Company IT Polices as it relates to using company resources.
* Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products. Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies. Ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
* Manage network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

* Partner with Human Resources to manage training programs on the use of our internal IT/ERP systems and provides additional support if necessary. Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond internal training. Encourage and train co-workers through both formal and informal training programs.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change. Submit status reports for on-going projects. Complies with, creates, and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures. Manages the process of innovative change effectively. Remain on the forefront of emerging industry practices and technological advancements. Responsible for Managing /adhering to the IT/ERP budget
* Manage and oversee support services to Canada and Monterrey - Manage meetings and directing service needs
Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years' experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of ERP software solutions as well as system implementation, and support.
* Strong management skills in dealing with both staff and projects
* Proven project management and change management skills
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects and deal with people with different skills sets and backgrounds
* Experience supporting a high-volume ERP application - Microsoft D365
* Microsoft Certified in Dynamics 365, Azure, Office 365 and Windows 10 preferred
* Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures, within IT field
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* Knowledge of computer logic and methodology to perform task listed under principal duties and responsibilities
* Experience with Manufacturing/Distribution Center operations including receiving, pick-packing, shipping, and inventory control
* Experience working multi-divisional, and/or multi-company distribution operations
* Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal)
