Job Details

Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America seeks a Software Security Engineer at our office in Frisco, TX: Manage the API Security Team within the Cyber Security Organization to facilitate and enable secure defaults in applications, platforms, and infrastructure by building and integrating solutions along with security consulting with other teams. Build and integrate security libs/filters and solutions for application and platform security. Design, code, and integrate application and application security solutions in our technology stack to enable security and privacy by default. Consult with application development and platform teams on the best security and privacy practices. Identify and analyze security needs and define and document the same with an action plan to execute those. Oversee the configuration, customization, diagnoses, and enhancements for application and platform software. Perform detailed design and code reviews and address findings appropriately. Coach, review, and delegate work to junior engineers. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) days per week.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study and five years of experience in job offered or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Software Consultant, Java Consultant, or a related occupation. Alternatviely, the company would accept a Master's degree in the accepted fields of study and three years of experience in an accepted occupation.
