Job Title: Oracle Cloud Engineer (OCI Development, Security, Networking, Automation)
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled OCI Developer & Administrator to design, deploy, automate, and maintain Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) solutions that support enterprise-grade applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and OCI services, demonstrating a passion for innovation and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient OCI infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
  • Automate deployment pipelines using OCI DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and availability.
  • Manage and support key OCI domains, including:
    • Core Infrastructure: Compute, Networking (VCN, Load Balancer), and Storage (Block, Object, File).
    • Security & Identity: IAM policies, compartments, encryption, and access control.
    • Developer Services: OCI Functions, API Gateway, DevOps pipelines, and SDKs.
    • Database Services: Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, Oracle Database Cloud.
    • Monitoring & Observability: Logging, Metrics, Alarms, and Application Performance Monitoring.
    • Governance & Administration: Budgets, Quotas, Tagging, and Resource Manager.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and provide training to internal teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Expertise in OCI services: Compute, VCN, Load Balancer, Object Storage, IAM, and Monitoring.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps best practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • OCI certifications (e.g., OCI Foundations, Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Professional).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OKE).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud Service.
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving
