POSITION SUMMARY:

The MEP department is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) with 10+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm/systems design to support and expand our growing MEP division. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical design expertise, project leadership experience, and the ability to deliver innovative, code-compliant engineering solutions for educational, commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Prepare electrical design for large scale projects-industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and other
  • Lead the electrical design process for large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, institutional, healthcare, office, and retail.
  • Prepare, sign and seal engineering drawings, reports, and specifications in compliance with state licensing requirements.
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to electrical designers and junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections
  • Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and OSHA safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes for building, energy, and construction standards and acceptable industry practices
  • Proven ability to serve as responsible-in-charge and manage the technical integrity of project deliverables.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • 10+ years of formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
  • Experience with Engineering Design software including SKM
  • Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software
  • Experience with latest versions of AutoCAD
  • Must have experience as a project lead on complex, multi-discipline engineering design projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications, letters, reports and related contract documents.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Must possess Bachelor or Master's degree in electrical engineering

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED
  • PE License Required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical system design for buildings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in the field and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Work requires frequent and prolonged computer use. May occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $92,000 - $151,800. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
