Hybrid role in Westlake, TX, Merrimack, NH, or Durham, NC. 2 full weeks a month onsite

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Data Engineer to join our Equity Compensation Recordkeeping and Information Delivery Platform team. This role is pivotal in building and modernizing capabilities for financial calculations and real-time data delivery using cloud-ready technologies. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions.

Rate: $55 - $68 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize complex database solutions using PL/SQL and modern RMDS platforms.
  • Lead data modeling, analysis, and integration efforts across Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server.
  • Design and implement ETL workflows using tools like Informatica.
  • Champion CI/CD practices to streamline deployment and integration processes.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to gather requirements and make informed design decisions.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Experience Requirements:
  • Key skills: Oracle, Pl/SQL, (either Snaplogic or Informatca ETL) and Azure.
  • 10 + years of overall Data Engineering/Database Development experience
  • 6-8 years of strong database development experience (PL/SQL).
  • 6-8 years of experience with Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
  • -Must have hands on Informatica or Snaplogic.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehouse solutions like Exadata
  • Proven expertise in data analysis and modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL technologies (Informatica preferred).
  • Experience with Azure
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science engineering
