Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to lead critical IT initiatives, including risk regulatory and capital management projects. The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating cross-functional teams and driving project success in a dynamic and complex environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead complex IT projects and programs, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Monitor project documentation to mitigate risks and ensure timely delivery.
Apply problem-solving and influencing skills to achieve project objectives and resolve challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive tactical and strategic project delivery.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met and expectations are exceeded.
Oversee vendor management processes, ensuring effective collaboration and accountability.
Utilize tools such as Clarity PPM or Jira to track progress, manage workflows, and enhance project efficiency.
Prepare and present clear and concise status reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Support multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management within financial services.
Strong knowledge of risk regulatory and capital management processes.
Proficiency with project management tools, including Jira and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
Experience in global markets and familiarity with financial forecasting.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present status updates clearly.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail.
