Systems Administrator 3

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator 3 in Redmond, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
* Systems Administrator 3 will maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux systems in production and development environments
* Administer and manage Perforce (Helix Core) version control, Swarm code review systems, including user management, service configuration via SDP, Helix authentication service (HAS), replication, backups, disaster recovery, and upgrades
* Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools, primarily Terraform
* Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and security of Perforce, Swarm, and Linux OS
* Collaborate with development teams to optimize Perforce performance for users and build farms
* Automate routine system administration tasks using shell scripts and/or configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
* As a Systems Administrator 3, you will participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives
* Document procedures, configurations, and system architectures for internal knowledge sharing and auditing purposes

REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum 5 years of Linux systems administration experience in production environments
* At least 3 years of experience administering Perforce (Helix Core) in multi-user, multi-site environments
* Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar
* Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
* Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Proficiency with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
* Perforce certification or relevant training
* Experience integrating Perforce with build systems or CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools
* Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, DNS, NFS, and related Linux services

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
