Job Description:
Mandatory Skills: VMWARE, Openshift or kubernetes, Open Systems server performance, MS Office
Desired Skills:System administrator for Windows and/or Linux
- Directs and supports the monitoring and analysis of trends to plan for capacity growth within the environment.
- Produces capacity forecasts utilizing measured and acquired business unit information to determine future needs and track plan-to-actual.
- Develops programs and processes to analyze performance data for root cause analysis and capacity solutions.
- Develops solutions and procedures for capacity management and performance monitoring of assigned components to determine optimal capacity and performance solutions.
- Creates and publishes reports and presentations (e.g., application workload reports, database statistical reports, exception reports, etc.) to identify anomalies and to maintain performance.
- Provides analyses and support to facilitate expedient incident resolution.
- Assists with investigating root causes to determine origins of problems.
- Participates in production support calls for servers (e.g., Linux, Windows, ESX) to troubleshoot and recommend resolution options.
- Analyzes performance and capacity issues in assigned infrastructure systems and components to resolve issues and to comply with procedures.
- Supports the monitoring and analysis of trends to plan for asset and capacity growth within the environment.
- Provides analyses to ensure system availability and business continuity.
- Knowledge of Grafana/Telegraf tool or equivalent tool such as BMC preferable.
- There maybe shift rotation during peak season.
The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
