Job Details
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL RDS and Amazon Aurora databases.
- Perform database migrations, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Optimize database performance and queries.
- Automate database provisioning and deployments with Terraform.
- Integrate database operations with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ensure database security and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in production and staging environments.
- Monitor database health using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing and optimizing MySQL databases in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and performance diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Expertise in using Git for version control and managing collaborative workflows.
- Experience in automating database deployments within DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages for automating tasks.
- Experience with production incident response, including troubleshooting database-related issues in real-time.
