Location: Reston, VA-hybrid(mostly remote only)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Data Engineer with strong expertise in Ab Initio development to design and build robust data pipelines and integrations. The role involves collaborating with business and product teams to gather requirements, developing ETL processes using Ab Initio, supporting data pipelines, and ensuring high-quality data delivery.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Sr. Data Engineer with strong expertise in Ab Initio development to design and build robust data pipelines and integrations. The role involves collaborating with business and product teams to gather requirements, developing ETL processes using Ab Initio, supporting data pipelines, and ensuring high-quality data delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Ab Initio graphs and data pipelines from various sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements.
- Perform data transformation and build consumable data layers.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and support production pipelines.
- Document technical designs and operational processes.
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in Ab Initio ETL development.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop (preferably Cloudera), HDFS, Hive, Impala.
- Strong SQL skills and Unix/Linux shell scripting experience.
- Exposure to AWS services and Java development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and guide junior developers.
