Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role requires a deep technical understanding of network infrastructure and advanced troubleshooting skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing complex networking environments, ensuring robustness and efficiency. This is a full-time position that offers a challenging yet rewarding work environment where technical skills are highly valued.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and operate advanced Cisco hardware including Nexus 5k, Nexus 7k, ACI & VXLAN fabrics ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage virtualization technologies across networking (VRF, VDC) and compute (Linux, VMware, Openstack) platforms.
  • Develop and maintain large-scale network infrastructure, focusing on continuous improvement and network optimization.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment, quickly resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • Create and deploy automation solutions using Python and Ansible to streamline network operations and processes.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams including customer service, implementation teams, and business units to drive successful customer outcomes.
  • Lead customer-facing meetings, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry to enhance network reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in network engineering and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internetworking, routing protocols, and networking protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and operating systems including Catalyst, Nexus, IOS/IOS-XE/IOS-XR, NX-OS, and ACI.
  • Expertise in Enterprise & Data Center networking technologies and large-scale network support.
  • Proficiency in network automation tools such as Python and Ansible.
  • CCNP or CCIE certifications are highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with multiple teams and stakeholders.
