TECH MATCH:
Seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to work in the COO Office of a large international Corporate and Investment Bank. Play a key role in supporting technology transformation in support of the franchise s ambitious growth strategy.
SUMMARY:
The BA is a critical role within a very lean and strong team that owns a portfolio of technologies and projects, including Banking s CRM system, strategic data repository, data controls model and business intelligence tools.
The BA will perform business analysis ( including requirements and data analysis ) functions in collaboration with front office stakeholders as well as internal partners
and other team members. The ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive delivery of key initiatives through disciplined and effective business analysis, data analysis, and change management
Requirements analysis responsibilities i nclude requirements gathering and documentation, process analysis and documentation (process flow diagrams), development of user stories and business requirements documents (BRDs), mock-ups of screens
Data analysis responsibilities include business / financial analysis , reconciliations and monitoring as well as establishment of data processes and controls that promote data integrity
Support various change management tasks including development of user documents, drafting of change communication memos, and user training
Provide day-to-day support of business technologies to business users
Perform ad hoc analysis based on management requests
Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvement and technology efficiencies

A FEW PARTICULARS:
Must be available to work full-time on-site in the Manhattan office (currently the team is working a 50/50 in-office/remote schedule, but this should be considered temporary)
Open office floorplan promotes a collaborative team environment.
This is not a 9-5 job; overtime and flexibility to perform hours work will be required
Legally authorized to work in the United States

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years experience performing the kinds of business / data analysis and quality assurance work described above
Ability to learn and understand quickly
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Strong knowledge of advanced Excel, SQL / VBA a plus
Superior oral & written communication skills
Ability to plan, organize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with limited supervision
Strong drive, initiative, and motivation to excel; accuracy and attention to detail
Experience supporting the implementation of technology systems or change management initiatives
Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multi-cultural environment
