Job Summary:
Experienced API Architect with strong background in designing and implementing API solutions, with specific expertise in Backstage, Apigee, swagger and Open API standards The API Architect will be responsible for defining the architecture and design of APIs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement API solutions using Backstage, Apigee, and Open API standards.
- Develop and maintain API architecture and design documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure API solutions meet business needs.
- Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and performant.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API governance and development activities.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in API development.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of API governance principles, standards, and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Expertise in API security protocols (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, mTLS) and good understanding for HTTPS Error Code handing
- Hands-on experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway and Apigee Gateway.
- Experience with API lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, and deprecation policies.
Understanding of service mesh technologies and API observability.
