Role Overview:
Freddie Mac is seeking a self-driven Automation Engineer to support and accelerate its security automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting and automation, with the ability to translate complex operational use cases into reliable, scalable workflows. This role involves converting existing PowerShell scripts into Ansible playbooks, enhancing automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with SMEs to ensure seamless implementation and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Convert and optimize existing PowerShell scripts into Ansible playbooks
- Maintain and enhance automation solutions across enterprise IT environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand use cases and deliver robust automation
- Apply scripting best practices including modularity, error handling, and logging
