Job Title: Workday Finance Reporting Analyst
Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in Los Angeles, CA
Duration: Contract
Job Description
We are seeking a Workday Finance Reporting Analyst with strong functional and reporting expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and building complex Workday reports, deep knowledge of Finance modules, and strong business analysis and visualization capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance Workday Financial reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and create effective, user-focused reporting solutions.
- Represent multiple business needs and translate them into a unified, scalable reporting solution.
- Create real-time visual representations and wireframes to support discovery sessions and identify new business requirements.
- Manage and prioritize a Jira backlog of report requests and enhancements.
- Communicate solution vision clearly from the customer s perspective.
- Partner with cross-functional teams within Finance and IT to drive process improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Work extensively with large data sets to deliver insights through Power BI, MS Fabric, or other BI tools.
- Stay updated with emerging AI and data visualization trends and explore integration opportunities within reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing and building Workday reports (Custom, Advanced, Matrix).
- Strong expertise in Workday Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, Assets, Projects, Banking).
- Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills.
- Power BI or MS Fabric experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with wireframing and visually communicating business processes.
- Prior experience in Financial Services or Investment Management industry preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Jira for report tracking and backlog management.
- Background in Business Analysis and Process Improvement.
- Solid understanding of software development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Prism Analytics or related BI tools.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts as applied to business reporting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
