JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
DUTIES: Research, design, and develop computer and network software, including specialized utility programs. Duties to include: Design, develop, and maintain product features throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business needs; Develop and execute automated test suites using tools like JUnit and perform manual testing to ensure software reliability; Leverage expertise in the Child Welfare System product to support design, development, and ongoing product maintenance; Design, configure, and execute batch jobs, utilizing TWS to manage and schedule processing tasks efficiently; Conduct R&D on software solutions, creating specialized utilities and network software tailored to business requirements; Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, using SDLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum frameworks; Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production defects, ensuring timely fixes to avoid system disruptions; Address and fix security vulnerabilities through code modifications, maintaining the system's integrity and security; Provide 24/7 on-call support to ensure continuous application uptime and swiftly address critical issues; and Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate APIs, optimize databases, and implement SSO integrations for seamless user experience. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:
