Job Details

Job Title: PACS Systems Engineer

Location: Loal to SFL or nearby ability to go onsite as needed in SFL.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage system upgrades, application lifecycle, and technical remediation for PACS/RIS platforms
  • Serve as SME for imaging systems, ensuring optimal performance and integration
  • Collaborate with radiologists, IT, and clinical teams to enhance imaging workflows
  • Analyze and document business requirements and system configurations
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for PACS/RIS systems
  • Coordinate with vendors for feature implementation and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and training materials

REQUIRED/MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of IT experience with strong technical foundation in systems engineering, Windows Server, Linux, and storage/network infrastructure in large enterprise environments
  • Networking proficiency (firewalls, routing, VLANs, IOPS) CCNA-level knowledge preferred
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues using logical, methodical approaches
  • Familiarity with PACS/RIS systems (Philips IntelliSpace, Sectra, Siemens Single Plaza, Change Healthcare) and DICOM/HL7 standards
  • Experience with VNA architecture, DICOM routing, and integration with imaging modalities and dictation systems (e.g., PowerScribe)
  • Basic scripting or development experience (.NET or similar) for automation and integration tasks
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, capable of high-touch support for radiologists and clinical staff
