Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Office 365 System Administrator to support and maintain our Microsoft 365 environment to one of our Healthcare clients located in the Bedford, MA area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the Office 365 suite particularly Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive and will bring a strong foundation in automation scripting and process optimization to enhance efficiency and scalability within IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
- Perform day-to-day administration tasks such as user provisioning, license management, mail flow troubleshooting, and permissions control.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and create workflows with Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Monitor and ensure system health, security, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Administer security features such as MFA, Conditional Access, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to support integration, rollout, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services.
- Document procedures, scripts, and system configurations for internal knowledge sharing and auditing purposes.
- Stay updated on Microsoft 365 updates and proactively recommend improvements.
- Integration experience with Okta is a plus
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a system administrator supporting Microsoft 365 / Office 365.
- Proficient with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Experience in On Perm Active directory is important
- Experience implementing and managing security controls and policies within Microsoft 365.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hybrid Exchange environments.
- Familiarity with Intune, Microsoft Graph API, and endpoint management.
- Exposure to compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
