Job Details
We are seeking experienced Industrial Riggers to support a large-scale equipment relocation project for our client, a leading manufacturing company. The role involves machinery disconnection, rigging, disassembly, labeling, and transport preparation at the Conver Pack facility in Medley, FL, with deliveries to client sites in Arizona and Georgia.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Rig out, load, and secure industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery onto step deck or Conestoga trailers.
- Support the disconnection, disassembly, and match-marking of one (1) EKOFA Flexographic Printing Machine and other equipment at the Miami facility.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with mechanics, electricians, and project managers to ensure all components are prepared correctly for reassembly.
- Ensure safe lifting and transport techniques in accordance with OSHA and DOT safety standards.
- Label, inventory, and document all components for tracking during transport.
- Participate in loading operations to ensure balanced and damage-free shipping.
- May assist at the receiving sites (Tolleson, AZ & Stone Mountain, GA) during offloading.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of industrial rigging experience, preferably involving relocation of large-scale manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient in operating forklifts, cranes, and rigging tools.
- Strong understanding of load balancing and weight distribution principles.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and layout plans.
- Familiar with labeling and match-marking best practices for reassembly.
- Willingness to travel if necessary to assist with delivery and setup.
- Reliable transportation to the work site in Medley, FL.
- Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NCCCO or equivalent rigging certification.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Previous experience working with flexographic printing machines or similar systems.
Compensation & Growth:
Rate: $32-44/hour (depends on experience level). Contract duration is 3-6 months with possible extensions. Work Hours: Monday Friday, 7 AM 5 PM (may include weekends/overtime)
