Location: Austin, TX 78751 (3 days On-site Mon, Wed, Thu; Remote Tue, Fri)
Duration: 8+ months contract with possibility of extension

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior Cloud-Native Java Architect
Location: Austin, TX 78751 (3 days On-site Mon, Wed, Thu; Remote Tue, Fri)

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Core Java (Java EE, Spring Boot, Microservices frameworks).
- 8+ years of experience in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
Technical Skills:
- Cloud/DevOps: AWS or Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible.
- Architecture: 12-Factor App methodology, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- Data & APIs: REST, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare industry.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-native Java architectures for enterprise-scale applications.
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
- Drive adoption of best practices in microservices, CI/CD, and container orchestration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy.
