Interns will be part of teams to work across multiple security domains, including Identity Management, Governance Risk and Compliance, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security Automation, and Security Operations. The work location for this position is in Atlanta, GA. You may support a variety of IT projects by gathering requirements for development, designing and testing of security solutions, security system maintenance, the enhancement and support of our security solutions, and creating automation solutions. While some responsibilities will be non-technical, we believe interns focused on development, process, and compliance roles are given the best opportunity to learn and gain maturity across the security domains

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Be able to commit to working the entire summer internship program, May 11 - August 7, 2026 (13 weeks)

Be willing to work from the Atlanta office. Most teams work apartially onsite / partially remote (hybrid) work schedule with management approval.

Have a 2.5 GPA or higher and have completed at least 2 years in a college program. Degree emphasis should be in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field

Ideal candidates have strong analytical, leadership, written and verbal communication skills and a good work ethic

Be able to accept diverse people, thinking and consistently make safety and security, of self and others, a priority

Have an interest in solving complex problems and be willing to invest time and energy to overcome roadblocks

Possess an awareness of cloud technology, Software Dev Lifecycles, have the ability to code, be familiar with the structure of development teams/squads, sprints, taking stories off backlogs, and have some familiarity with Python and some understanding of Cyber Information security

Be able to conduct yourself in a mature manner and be comfortable working in a business casual work attire environment

Be interested in working for Delta Air Lines after graduation if presented with a full time job offer opportunity

Ability to digest large amounts of data and information and succinctly explain what can be learned from the data and how it can support decision making

Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem solving and conflict resolution to enable innovation and progress on difficult to solve challenges of our customers

Have a passion for working with Information Security
