BI and Analytics Manager

We are seeking a Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager to lead and evolve our client s analytics function. This is a high-visibility, standalone role that works cross-functionally with executive leadership and departmental stakeholders. You ll play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that shape sales strategy, operational decision-making, and enterprise-wide performance.

The role starts with refining and expanding our Tableau Cloud dashboard footprint and evolves into broader data integration and strategic analysis, including use of AI tools and custom Python/SQL analytics where appropriate. The ideal candidate is a technical expert with business intuition comfortable engaging with senior leaders and shaping the narrative around data.

Responsibilities

  • Own our Tableau Cloud reporting environment; improve, expand, and maintain dashboards for executive and operational audiences
  • Serve as the go-to analytics partner for the President, Sr. VP of Sales, and department heads
  • Translate business needs into compelling dashboards and reports that drive decision-making
  • Integrate data across business units and platforms (ERP, CRM, etc.)
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to drive insights, productivity, and innovation
  • Perform advanced analytics using Python/SQL where necessary to support deeper-level inquiries
  • Drive continuous improvement across all analytics deliverables questioning the status quo and pushing for better clarity, usability, and business impact
  • Operate independently with minimal oversight while proactively engaging stakeholders

Qualifications

Preferred Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid (preferred): 2 3 days/week on-site in Branchburg, NJ
  • Remote (for exceptional candidates): Fully remote with monthly travel to NJ for multi-day, in-person collaboration
  • Face-to-face interaction is highly valued, especially given the close working relationship with the President and Sr. VP of Sales

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience creating clean, insightful Tableau Cloud dashboards for executive audiences
  • Ability to engage with senior leadership, understand their business challenges, and translate into analytics deliverables
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude)
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to any audience
  • Independent, self-starting work style with excellent follow-through
  • Curious, creative thinker with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Intellectually honest and comfortable acknowledging when more learning or clarity is needed

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, Matplotlib) and SQL
  • Tableau certifications (Data Analyst, Consultant, or Architect)
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial B2B environments
  • Exposure to ERP, CRM, or sales operations systems

What This Role Is Not
This is not a plug-and-play Tableau maintenance role. The dashboards in place require significant enhancement and creative development. We need someone with the vision and hands-on capability to take analytics at our client to the next level providing clear, strategic insights that inform leadership and drive business results.
