DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Work on day to day issues including daily health checks of applications and processes. Work closely with end users, development staff and Infrastructure teams to prioritize, resolve, and mitigate production issues or outages. Maintain stable and reliable production system. Monitor production activities and processes to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal and external clients, technical resources, and executives. Ensure information controls, back-up, and recovery strategies are in place across all environments. Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures, and production monitoring. Identify, coordinate, and implement initiatives, projects, and activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing. Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users, and clients. Carefully evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide timely resolution. Data analysis of issues and reporting to Production support and Development leadership. Resolve and mitigate the issues via coding or data changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support Lead, Applications Support, Project Manager, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: programming languages .Net, Java, JSON in the Spring boot framework with Maven to build microservices and APIs; Unix shell script and writing script; utilizing SQL to write queries; querying DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, Cockroach, Aurora, and RDS; utilizing services in AWS; navigating and querying in Grafana, Dynatrace and Splunk monitoring tools to find the point of failures, performance issues and root causes; maintaining the applications in Dockers and Kubernetes; utilizing MQ as the middleware for sending and receiving messages to the downstream and upstream systems; utilizing Kafka for processing events in the consumer and publisher architecture; Cobol and JCL programming using CICS regions in mainframe; utilizing Mainview; conducting transactions using IMS.
