Title: Data Analyst Power BI

Location: Houston TX

This position will play a critical role in data implementation as part of ERP Project for newly acquired US Utility companies. This person will provide subject matter expertise related to Power BI. Creating the PowerBI models that will be used to validate and transform data from SAP and Power plan. Additionally, this role will support the Internal Controls team to document control points in business processes.
Specific Accountabilities
Act as a data conversion specialist to provide support and input to ERP Finance Data Teams, Business SMEs, and the System Integrator for profiling, extraction, cleansing, conversion, and validation of data being converted to Oracle Cloud.
Participate in conversion function designs with business and ERP functional teams to ensure the process, data mapping, data rules and data validation are accurately captured.
Utilize your expertise in PowerBI to create data models pulling large sets of data from multiple sources and applying transformation logic derived from excel spreadsheets as required.
Work with Business functional team to determine the critical data points that will need to be modelled in PowerBI
May be required to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience.
Identify data readiness issues and challenges, provide recommendations to remediate, plan and execute resolution, and escalate as required
Support the execution of data conversion processes across entire data lifecycle to meet program timelines and key dates, including cutovers
Identify data readiness opportunities for optimization and execution to maximize efficiencies, making recommendations
The role will provide direct support to the Data and IT conversion teams under the ERP Finance Data Team
May be required to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
Scope/Dimensions
The role will provide direct support to the data quality and conversion teams under either the ERP Finance, SCM or AWM workstream. The role interfaces with the ERP Data leadership team to escalate issues and ensure project aligns with Unify objectives. The role serves as the main point of contact for the workstream teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:

Related university degree in Business or Technology
Experience with SAP, Power plan, or Oracle Cloud
Experience with PowerBi in creating and building models
Experience with SQL and Power Bi
Experience with data standards and data quality reporting
Able to identify risks and issues and recommend actions to remedy and escalate when necessary.
Proven interpersonal communication and influence skills applied with technical and functional personnel.
Willing to get into the details to help progress the work and report status.
Able to understand enterprise wide and Business Unit specific requirements.
Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Project
Preferred:
Industry experience in energy storage and distribution
Experience with large-scale, complex project go-lives (i.e. cutovers)
Experience with data transformation on large enterprise programs
Experience with Internal Controls and mapping business processes
Experience with data sustainment and enterprise data governance
Physical Requirements: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect colour coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
