Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Advisor with deep expertise in 4PL logistics in oilfield services industry to optimize supply chain operations and drive strategic efficiencies. This role requires a strong understanding of fourth-party logistics (4PL) management, vendor coordination, and end-to-end supply chain solutions within the oilfield services sector. The ideal candidate will provide guidance on logistics best practices, understand transportation networks, and ensure seamless alignment of supply chain strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary expert on 4PL logistics operations within the oilfield services industry.
- Develop logistics/supply chain strategies and opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Understand relationships with logistics providers, subcontractors, and oilfield service vendors to optimize transportation and distribution.
- Understand applicable digital tools and analytics to enhance logistics visibility and forecasting accuracy to support field operations and drilling projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, procurement, operations, and finance, to align logistics initiatives with business goals.
- Provide guidance on logistics automation, AI-driven optimizations, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience in 4PL logistics, oilfield services, and energy sector supply chains.
- Strong understanding of freight management, international trade, and customs regulations.
- Expertise in logistics software, ERP systems, and AI-driven supply chain optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with logistics management in onshore oil and gas operations.
- Familiarity with energy industry-specific supply chain challenges and solutions.
