Job Details
Role: Field Service Technician
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (Onsite)
(contract)
Note* Need only locals, who can do onsite
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and audio and visual (AV) issues
- Provide training and support to staff and contractors.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, peripherals and AV systems.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Resolve complex and escalated technical problems related to network connectivity, software applications, and hardware components.
- Use advanced tools, techniques and applications to remediate issues.
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, troubleshooting steps, and equipment configurations in the service ticketing system.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and efficient resolution of support requests.
- Work with vendors to install technology and resolve and escalate technical problems on vendor systems and hardware.
- Set up and operate audio and video equipment for events, meetings, and presentations. MTR Rooms
- Off-site AV support for the Executive Team
- Mobile support
- M365 support
- Drive to branches
- Service Now knowledge preferred if possible as we are moving to that technology
- VDI knowledge preferred if possible as we are moving to that technology
- Adhere to the HVCU internal policies and IT Procedures
Other Requirements:
- 100% on Site/Hands on Coming to the office in Poughkeepsie
- Driver's license - Own car
- Monday-Friday 8am 5pm with 1hr lunch
- Occasional OT and weekend work
- We observe all Federal holidays
