Location: Hybrid in Pomona, CA (1 Innovation Way)

Pay Range: $99.00 $111.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity

Schedule: Full-time, contract; M F, 8 5

Work Type: Hybrid at least 2 days in office weekly (Wed & Thu)

Position Summary

We re hiring a Senior Transmission Line Structural Engineer (Lattice Towers & Foundations) to lead high-impact T&D projects. You ll serve as a subject-matter expert on PLS-Tower, lattice tower analysis, and transmission foundations, driving code-compliant designs, field support, and QA/QC for a safe, reliable grid.

Key Responsibilities

Lead structural engineering for lattice towers and foundations on complex transmission line projects

Serve as SME for PLS-Tower analysis/modeling per ASCE and client standards

Design and/or review transmission foundations (drilled shafts, direct embed, micropile, grillage) using FAD Tools and hand calcs

Perform structural load calculations per NESC, California GO-95, and applicable codes

Drive construction administration, resolve design-related field issues, support emergency restorations, and conduct field inspections

Prepare mitigation reports for damaged lattice towers and footings

Mentor and guide less experienced engineers; build strong cross-functional relationships

Ensure QA/QC adherence and compliance with company and site safety policies

What You ll Work On

End-to-end engineering of lattice tower structures and foundations across transmission portfolios

Code-compliant load analyses, foundation designs, and remediation plans

Field-driven problem solving during outages, storms, and emergency restorations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor s or Master s in Civil (Structural) Engineering

California Civil PE License required (Structural emphasis preferred)

7+ years in transmission line engineering

Proficiency with PLS-TOWER/PLS-CADD and FAD Tools

Strong knowledge of NESC, California GO-95, ASCE standards, and utility specifications

Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and QA/QC rigor

Desired Skills

California SE preferred

3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience

Stable work history with large enterprise organizations
