Job Description

The Ford Service Experience Platform (ServiceXP) team is seeking an experienced Pega Software Engineer that embraces Agile programming principles to further the vision for our product portfolio. ServiceXP provides the foundation for customer and dealer experiences (CX/DX) supporting our end to end Service Customer Journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate, design and deliver software solutions following PDO concepts
  • Contribute to user stories/backlog, prioritization & backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint execution, verification and release working within a Product Team
  • Clarify technical feasibility, alternatives & provide inputs to the Product Designer
  • Provide technical leadership, oversight and guidance
  • Enhance testing platforms, improve test automation, foster software craftsmanship
  • Surprise and delight customers and partner software engineers
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our solutions
  • Collaborate with multi-skilled teams working on commercial/fleet software solutions
  • Leverage backlog management tools (e.g. Rally; Kanban; etc.) and associated data to drive delivery awareness and alignment across partners
  • Engage in Test-first Development, Test Driven Development
  • Improve team's ability to continuously integrate and deploy solutions and manage issues


Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 1-3 year Pega development experience
  • Experience with CI/CD Tools and Pipelines
  • Modern databases (relational and non-relational)
  • Experience on an Agile Software Delivery team

  • Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment
  • Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners
  • Understanding of fundamental data modeling
  • Experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, PCF, AWS, Azure
  • Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools
  • Strong ability to form positive relationships quickly w/peers, team and business partners.
  • Strong customer-centric focus; ability to work with multiple organizations
  • Proactive written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience with Agile Delivery, demonstrating a Lean-Agile, Customer-Centric Mentality.
  • Successful track record collaborating with wide range of team members to drive common processes/tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
