Job Title: SAP IS-U Functional Analyst - Data Migration & Validation
Location: Miami, FL (Onsite)
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
The SAP IS-U Functional Analyst Data Migration & Validation will support the Project XD Data Migration workstream, ensuring accurate, complete, and high-quality data migration into SAP IS-U. This role requires advanced SAP IS-U functional expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to train and mentor validation testers, build data validation reports, and lead complex data reconciliation efforts. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide technical partners, and serve as a recognized expert for SAP IS-U data, migration processes, and validation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an SAP IS-U subject matter expert supporting the Project XD Data Migration workstream.
- Lead, train, and mentor manual data validation testers to ensure accurate, repeatable, and effective review processes.
- Build, deploy, and utilize data validation reports for mock cycles and full data migration activities.
- Analyze utilities business processes, identify gaps, and propose SAP IS-U aligned functional and technical solutions.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to resolve complex SAP IS-U data and configuration issues.
- Interpret business requirements and recommend best practices to enhance data accuracy and system reliability.
- Work independently with minimal guidance while providing leadership in complex or escalated migration scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with Programmer/Analysts and cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
- Serve as an internal expert for SAP IS-U data structures, master data, transactional data, integration points, and validation methodologies.
- May lead functional sub-teams or specialized data-related project areas as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience as an SAP IS-U Functional Analyst, preferably focused on data migration or data validation.
- Strong knowledge of SAP IS-U data structures, utilities processes, billing master data, device data, premise/contract data, and integration points.
- Demonstrated ability to train, guide, and lead manual testing teams.
- Hands-on experience creating, modifying, and leveraging reports for data validation during migration cycles.
- Advanced analytical and functional problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to interpret complex business and technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of deliverables.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP implementation or upgrade programs.
- Prior involvement in multi-phase data migration initiatives (mock cycles, dress rehearsal, go-live).
- Familiarity with data quality, profiling, cleansing, and reconciliation tools.
- Understanding of utility industry processes and regulatory requirements.
