World Wide Technology is looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $60.00 to $65.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.
Job Title: End User Computing Sr. Systems Engineer (2 roles)
Location: onsite STL M-Fr 8-5 CST
Duration: 12 months
Job Description
- Assist with evaluation, integration, and support of end user hardware solutions including printers, scanners.
- Independently design, configure, install, and maintain complex infrastructure components.
- Plan and execute initiatives for improving operational efficiencies through automation and/or enhancement of end user experience.
- Assist with technical development and mentoring of team members.
- Debug and correct complex internal and external infrastructure problems.
- Conduct peer walkthroughs to assure quality of designs and implementations.
- Provide all levels of support for assigned systems, including rotating assignment to provide 24x7 on-call coverage and monitoring system logs and messages.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
Position requirements
- Minimum of 5 years or more experience in supporting end user hardware and software in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of HP Web Jetadmin, HP Security Manager, and HP Managed Print Services a plus
- Develop, test, and deploy software packages in a Windows desktop environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows scripting languages including VB Script, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge and experience working with enterprise-class software distribution tools (SCCM preferred).
- Effective communication (written and verbal) targeted at a wide array of audiences.
- Individuals must be self-motivated with the ability to actively participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems preferred or related work experience.
