Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MMIS Analyst to support our client s Agreement and Research initiatives within the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) environment. This position will play a vital role in evaluating provider agreements, analyzing Medicaid data, and supporting policy and program research activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MMIS systems and Medicaid operations, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data analysis and system support.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on MMIS functionality related to the Agreement and Research domain
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for MMIS updates and enhancements
  • Collaborate with program staff, policy analysts, legal teams, and IT personnel to support Medicaid agreements and data-driven research initiatives
  • Support the creation, modification, and validation of provider agreements, state plans, and inter-agency MOUs within the MMIS
  • Perform gap analysis and impact assessments to evaluate changes in federal and state Medicaid policies on existing agreements and system functionality
  • Participate in the development and review of test plans, test cases, and validation of MMIS enhancements related to agreements and research
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to support policy development, operational reviews, and compliance monitoring
  • Support the documentation and maintenance of business processes and standard operating procedures within the Agreement and Research area
  • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and support the design and implementation of MMIS solutions
  • Provide input into training materials, user guides, and knowledge sharing across stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, Business, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • 3 5 years of experience working with MMIS systems, with a focus on Medicaid policy, agreements, or data research
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid programs, provider enrollment and contracting processes, and healthcare data
  • Experience translating business needs into system requirements, and supporting system testing and implementation
  • Familiarity with CMS guidelines, data use agreements (DUAs), inter-agency agreements, and Medicaid operational policy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and project management or data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment with cross-functional teams
