We re Hiring | Data Engineer Sr Principal Location: Raleigh, NC // Remote 100% Clearance: MBI (T2 Public Trust) Experience: 15+ Years
Key Responsibilities
Provide data modeling expertise and performance-tuning guidance for ETL workloads and Teradata SQL queries
Optimize workloads supporting MicroStrategy reporting within enterprise applications
Lead engineering of a cloud-based Data Lakehouse platform (Databricks on Microsoft Azure)
Support application development, enhancements, and maintenance
Participate in 247 on-call production support for ETL and server applications
Ensure compliance with federal security and governance standards
Required Qualifications
15+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling and SQL querying
Strong expertise in Teradata SQL & Teradata Optimizer
Ability to read and analyze SQL Explain Plans
Deep understanding of DBC Accounting for performance measurement
Proven experience developing and maintaining ETL applications

Desired Skills
Ab Initio (ETL tools, architecture, GDE)
MicroStrategy or other OLAP tools
Data warehouse modeling (3NF & Dimensional)
Web API development
Streaming technologies (Kafka, MQSeries, JMS)
Cloud architecture & development (Azure preferred)
