Classification Title:

Classification Minimum Requirements:
A High School diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area.

Job Description:
  • Maintain teaching labs, upgrade and/or repair all lab equipment in all the ECE undergraduate teaching labs as needed. Assists student PI's with lab hardware.
  • Manage all student kits: Ordering quantities for each semester, managing kit inventory, maintain kit changes with professors and vendors as needed.
  • Assist professors with lab content changes pertaining to student kits and/or lab equipment as needed.
  • Assist and instruct ECE students with troubleshooting their PCBs and circuits, and assist them with their soldering and desoldering as needed.
  • Managing, organizing and replacing the parts and components in the lab support area.
  • Assist with lab support 3D printers and laser cutters/engravers and other prototyping tools and shop equipment.

Expected Salary:
Starting at $53,000; commensurate with education and experience

Required Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area.

Preferred:
  1. Electronic circuit troubleshooting.
  2. Soldering and de-soldering.
  3. Hands-on hardware repair.
