Reports to: Lead Systems Analyst

Are you an experienced web developer looking for an opportunity to enhance your career? We are seeking talented individuals to join our team in League City, Texas. As a web developer, you will work in an agile environment partnering with product owners and Scrum Masters to implement and enhance the company's digital presence, improving customer engagement for the life and annuities distribution channels.

What You will Do:
  • Develop and maintain web applications with an advanced level of web development experience
  • Apply technical concepts and skills to solve complex problems creatively and effectively
  • Complete assignments that extend to innovative technologies and business processes with minimal assistance
  • Understand and mitigate security vulnerabilities that might pose a risk to developed applications
  • Set coding standards and best practices, review team members' work, manage project schedules, and communicate directly with business users
  • Provide analytical support for ongoing system maintenance and respond promptly to production issues
  • Prepare initial problem definitions, define project scope and objectives, and design system solutions
  • Follow and enforce coding standards and guidelines
  • Review test results with the business and make necessary adjustments to deliverables
  • Code readable, dependable, and maintainable programs in various languages on multiple platforms
  • Understand business requirements and relate them to supporting system requirements, producing simple technical specifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management of information systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution, preferred. Will consider relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in application development roles
  • Angular or Java language experience
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity guidelines and secure coding practices
  • Experience with source code version control (e.g. GIT)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work on/call rotation (Monday-Sunday) during and outside of normal business hours
