Description
The candidate must sit in the Bay area as there will be a onsite component relating to a public event.
Summary
We are seeking an Associate Creative Director Art Director for a ~2-3 month contract position to focus on social-first content. The ideal candidate is someone who can work proactively and autonomously (in partnership with a writer) to concept, produce, and deliver work with a high attention to detail and under time constraints. This person will work across many projects at once, exploring what's possible, putting social-first concepts forward, and can quickly iterate based on feedback. They are able to deliver work that can convey complex technical concepts as well as simple, consumer-focused ideas.
This person must be comfortable with a fluid schedule, working across multiple projects at once, and can partner with a cross-functional team of creatives, communications, content professionals, production partners, and various key stakeholders across this organization.
You must have a high level of social-first craft (Ustorytelling, and aware of social templates & elements.) The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker, has a finger on the pulse of social trends and culture, and is a strategic and proactive problem solver
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex subject matter into easy-to-understand and entertaining social content
  • Comfortable running projects and driving them forward autonomously
  • Concept, art direct, and produce social-first ideas focusing primarily on in-product experiences, short video, leveraging both new and existing formats
  • Communicate innovative ideas to stakeholders in clear, concise ways to both product, communications and marketing audiences
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment with writers, designers, editors and senior leaders
  • Bring passion for the craft of design and art direction
  • Must be located in SF Bay, and able to come to the office as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in an ad agency/in-house concepting and art directing ideas for brand and product
  • Experience working on social across multiple platforms
  • Experience translated complex topics into easy-to-understand and entertaining social concepts
  • Experience designing, art directing and articulating conceptual design decisions
  • Experience bringing ideas to life with high quality mockups and prototypes use creative software and other tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with self-initiated projects
  • Expert communication skills
  • Experience creating for various social formats (Stories, Reels, IG, FB, WhatsApp)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $135.00/hr.
