Job Description

Job Purpose:

With minimum supervision, assembles mechanical, and hydraulics to support production schedules.

Essential Functions:

    \n
  1. With minimum supervision, assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions. (Industrial Cranes and Crane sub-assemblies)
  2. \n
  3. Performs on-line testing and inspection activities.
  4. \n
  5. In accordance with company procedures, cleans and prepares units for next operation.
  6. \n
  7. Complies with all safety and hazardous material procedures.
  8. \n
  9. Complies with all requirements of Quality System in accordance with ISO9001.
  10. \n
  11. Required to initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times and /or to correct nonconformities.
  12. \n
  13. Required to comply with requirements for Hazardous waste Management.
  14. \n
  15. Maintains all aspects of workplace organization.
  16. \n
  17. Performs other job tasks as requested.

  1. Required to maintain accurate records.

  3. May be required to operate forklifts.

  5. May provide assistance to other departments, as needed.

  7. Required to identify opportunities for improvements and submit in accordance with Continuous Improvement Program.

  9. Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries; Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.

  13. Maintain ongoing communication and adhere to all Companywide policies to eliminate and/or reduce exposure to liability.

Qualifications Guidelines

Experience/Training/Education:

Required: High School graduate, or equivalent.

Desired: 5 years as Mechanical or Hydraulic Assembler, or weld fabricator.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and testing; Requires an eye for detail. Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum; basic knowledge of SPC fundamentals; Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow; Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions; Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; ability to accept constructive criticism; ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently; ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.

The final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, and location.
