Job Details

Role: Sr. Network Engineer

Location: 3-4 days/week in the office in Sunnyvale, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide expert guidance and support for the design, deployment, and management of Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access) infrastructure across multiple sites.
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a comprehensive, organization-wide Cisco SDA upgrade project, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to project timelines.
Collaborate with network teams to develop detailed upgrade strategies, including assessment of existing SDA deployments, compatibility analysis, and risk mitigation.
Oversee the configuration, testing, and validation of SDA components during the upgrade, ensuring all security, segmentation, and network policies are preserved or improved.
Manage stakeholder communications and coordinate with cross-functional teams to guarantee successful implementation of the upgrade.
Document upgrade procedures, progress, and post-upgrade validation results, and update network diagrams and documentation accordingly.
Monitor the health and performance of SDA environments throughout the upgrade, addressing any issues proactively.
Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer with the network support teams on the upgraded SDA architecture and new features.
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices during all phases of the upgrade project.
Provide post-upgrade support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement recommendations to optimize SDA performance and security. Ability to troubleshoot routing and switching issues in campus environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.

Assist the Network Engineering team with the installation and configurations of devices and software in scheduled change window

Managed project, collaborating and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Create and maintain detailed network topology diagrams and document.

Provide support and troubleshoot network-related issues as changes implemented.
