Senior Oracle PL/SQL Dev with PBM Experience

Role: Senior Oracle PL/SQL Dev with PBM Experience Location: Remote Duration: 6 month contract; potential for Full time

Overview:

• Primary goal is to maintain existing environment/code (top focus)
• Migrating DB to cloud (Azure)
• Future will create a layer that connects to DB to have a standalone application
• Working to keep up with increased workload with acquisitions in general code, security, reporting, etc. not up to standards Shubh wants. Needs these resources to come in with best practices and help to improve the current state
• All roles need to be Senior resources, will help teach domain knowledge, but otherwise need to come in and contribute immediately

Senior SQL Developer Overview:

• Working with inherited code from acquisitions, it is messy so working to maintain, manage, and refactor PL/SQL in their Oracle SQL DB
• First focus is to maintain/manage existing code; includes complex packages, stored procedures, functions, views, etc.
• Performance tuning and maintenance to ensure operations stay functional and smooth; handle partner files and run eligibility comparisons
• ETL process is currently script driven
• Will help generate business focused reporting and working towards a self-service reporting tool for the business (via Oracle apex)
• Working towards a cloud migration (Azure); will be part lift and shift of current DB and some refactoring
• Refactoring for cloud migration will be focused on optimizing table structures and connections and removing duplicate properties
• During migration will take opportunity to enhance current security protocols

Must Have

• Strong experience with PL/SQL
• Oracle DB
• Large-scale data processing and reporting
• SQL complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning
• Cloud migration concepts Azure SQL Database preferred (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS)
