Are you ready to make an impact? Share your resume with us today!
The Mission
The Small Airborne Effectors Division within the Kinetic Effects Business Area is a team of more than 200 professionals responsible for developing, testing, and producing small airborne missiles, UAS, and payload effectors for a diverse set of customers including the US Special Operations Forces, US Air Force, and US Army.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Systems Integration & Avionics Engineer to support a broad range of maintenance, integration, inspection, and troubleshooting activities for small airborne missiles, UAS, and payload effectors including avionics, instrument systems, and related airborne electronics. This role offers hands-on, varied work across avionics, integration, maintenance, mission support, and field operations in a prototype environment. Successful prototype programs often transition to production programs where the Systems Integration Engineer has a key role in developing production transition strategy, tooling setup, and assembly work instructions. Once production units are fielded, the Systems Integration Engineer also has opportunities for end-user technical support, sustainment, and training.
The ideal candidate will apply strong theoretical and practical knowledge to influence design and integration decisions based on experience to ensure mission-ready, safe, and compliant operations. This position is a core role within a multi-disciplinary rapid prototype design team.
In addition to technical, maintenance, and integration duties, the candidate may also be required to perform crew functions such as serving as a crew chief, conducting launcher maintenance and operations, and supporting prototype evaluations as mission needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
Come break things (in a good way). Then build them smarter.
We're the tech company everyone calls when things get weird. We don't wear capes (they're a safety hazard), but we do solve high-stakes problems with code, caffeine, and a healthy disregard for "how it's always been done."

For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
