Job Details

Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of custom technical solutions across their entire product suite. This role blends technical leadership with project execution, guiding engineers and workflow developers through the successful implementation of enterprise-grade media workflows, systems integrations, and cloud-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, software integration, scripting, and solution architecture. They are passionate about translating customer needs into scalable, high-impact solutions while driving engineering excellence through mentorship, best practices, and cross-functional collaboration.

Core Responsibilities
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable technical tasks.

  • Contribute to writing and reviewing Statements of Work (SOW) by providing technical task breakdowns and time estimates.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Lead to align on project scope, milestones, and sprint planning.

  • Define technical architecture and approaches for workflow implementation.

  • Allocate technical resources and prioritize tasks based on sprint goals.

  • Work with Engineering and DevOps teams to ensure infrastructure, integration, and deployment requirements are met.

  • Review and approve code, enforcing coding standards and best practices.

  • Ensure all technical deliverables meet customer expectations and internal quality standards.

  • Promote best practices in software development and workflow automation.

  • Mentor engineers to foster professional growth and technical excellence.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer deployments by recommending complementary solutions.

  • Analyze existing customer setups to identify inefficiencies and propose optimizations using the broader product suite.

  • Serve as a technical advisor, helping customers align their needs with the capabilities of our client's platform.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in software development or solution engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or a senior engineering role.

  • Proficiency in object-oriented design, API development, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools and version control systems.
