This role will involve monitoring, analyzing, and addressing security vulnerabilities while streamlining workflows through automation.
- Vulnerability Management:
- Utilize Vulnerability management tools to identify, analyze, and prioritize security vulnerabilities across the organization's IT environment.
- Generate detailed vulnerability reports and provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure timely remediation of critical vulnerabilities.
- Incident Management:
- Use ServiceNow to manage, track, and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Implement workflows for vulnerability triage, assignment, and resolution within ServiceNow.
- Automation and Optimization:
- Develop and optimize ticket automation processes in ServiceNow to improve efficiency in security operations.
- Automate repetitive tasks, such as ticket creation and updates, using ServiceNow scripting and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to integrate vulnerability management tools with ServiceNow for seamless vulnerability tracking and management.
- Security Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor security tools and dashboards for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, DevOps, and Security Operations, to ensure cohesive security practices.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for processes, workflows, and configurations related to vulnerability management tools, ServiceNow, and ticket automation.
- 1-2 years of experience with vulnerability management tools for vulnerability scanning and management.
- Some experience utilizing Tenable in a professional environment.
- Experience with ServiceNow, including ticket management and workflow configuration.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability assessment and remediation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or Vulnerability management tools certifications.
