Program Manager Tech 4 - Microsoft
Role Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager Tech 4 to drive Agile transformation and deliver scalable DevOps solutions across Microsoft teams. This role blends technical expertise, organizational leadership, and Agile coaching to accelerate delivery outcomes and foster continuous improvement. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates autonomy, and excels at guiding teams toward Agile maturity.
A Typical Day
  • Guide delivery teams in adopting and refining Agile practices.
  • Measure framework effectiveness and facilitate actionable improvements.
  • Work hands-on in Azure DevOps (ADO):
    • Create and track work items.
    • Manage dashboards and burndown charts.
    • Design scalable story-pointing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical and business priorities.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations in ADO and Power BI.
  • Deliver DevOps solutions that integrate security, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Provide training and documentation on ADO best practices.
  • Interface with clients from project initiation through delivery, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
  • Report progress, manage escalations, and coach teams toward Agile maturity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Drive program/project schedules, status reports, and functional specifications.
  • Provide Product Managers and Unit Managers with technical and analytical insights.
  • Organize cross-functional activities to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Shadow delivery teams, offering facilitation and guidance for Agile alignment.
  • Design and implement scalable Agile story-pointing frameworks across the organization.
  • Integrate Azure DevOps with Power Platform solutions (Power BI, Power Automate).
  • Configure managed connections with Microsoft products (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI).
Ideal Candidate Background
  • Certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner
    • Microsoft Certified Trainer
  • Experience & Skills:
    • 4+ years of Azure DevOps expertise (work item tracking, queries, dashboards, templates).
    • 4+ years of Agile project management experience.
    • Proven success coaching multiple teams and stakeholders in Agile adoption.
    • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
    • Expertise in Agile effectiveness measurement across teams.
    • Skilled in data visualization & reporting (ADO dashboards, Power BI).
    • Experience with solution design & build in DevOps environments.
    • Background working at Microsoft (Vendor or FTE).
    • Power Platform integration experience.
