We have a 20+ month contract opportunity for a Workday Security Analyst/Architect. This role is fully remote but must support PST working hours.
We are seeking a Solutions Security Architect II with strong experience in Workday security, ideally supporting Finance, Supply Chain, or enterprise operations. This role is responsible for designing, governing, and enhancing the security framework within Workday, ensuring proper access management, role design, tenant security, and alignment with identity management processes.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience implementing and managing Workday security at scale, understands role-based and user-based access models, and can partner with technical and functional teams to support secure integrations and system usage.
This role is not focused on cloud infrastructure or physical security systems. We are specifically seeking Workday security and identity management experience.

responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain the Workday security framework across Finance, Supply Chain, and enterprise functions.
Oversee Workday tenant security, including provisioning workflows, role governance, certifications, and periodic audits.
Review and manage security roles, domain permissions, business process security, and user-access policies.
Collaborate closely with Workday SMEs, internal security teams, and system administrators to ensure consistent and compliant access models.
Support Workday-related integrations from a security perspective, especially those tied to Finance and Supply Chain.
Partner with Identity & Access Management (IEM/IAM) teams to align Workday security with enterprise identity strategy.
Recommend best practices, contribute to roadmap planning, and support the long-term evolution of Workday security controls.
Required Experience
3+ years of Workday Security or Workday administration experience with strong exposure to role design, domain security, and tenant governance.
Experience supporting Workday Finance or Supply Chain modules or integrations.
Background in IT security, identity management, or access governance.
Ability to analyze complex security requirements and translate them into scalable Workday configurations.
Preferred Experience
Workday Security certification.
Experience working in Healthcare environments.
Familiarity with IEM/IAM frameworks, access certifications, and provisioning workflows.
Additional Notes
The team currently includes Workday SMEs and an Enterprise Access Management (EAM) group that handles basic security tasks; this role focuses on architecting and governing Workday security at a higher level.
Candidates with strong Workday security specialist or Workday analyst backgrounds are encouraged to apply, even if they have not held an "Architect" title.
