Software Release Train Engineer (Senior/Lead)

The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Release Train Engineer (Senior/Lead) to join the Ground Software Engineering team located in El Segundo, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Satellite Systems Software Engineering organization.
Our team creates the software tools and services for the world's highest performing satellite/ground systems for USG and Commercial customers. This role will be part of Boeing's recently acquired ESS program.
As a leader of the Agile Release Train you'll provide direction to multi-disciplinary teams that plan, commit, develop, and deploy software products. Key responsibilities include managing multiple Scrum teams, Scrum of Scrums, facilitating SAFe processes, fostering team collaboration, and driving continuous improvement. The position requires strong technical aptitude combined with excellent leadership and communication skills. Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of multiple Scrum Teams
- Facilitate scaled agile processes for engineering teams
- Foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams
- Coach team members and stakeholders in SAFe and Agile practices
- Remove or escalate impediments to flow and promote continuous improvement
- Assist in development and maintenance of PI Planning Roadmaps and Program Vision
- Produce and explain both Agile and program-specific metrics

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret - Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start
- 3+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
- 3+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer using the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
- 3+ years of experience leading a team through the maturation of agile processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Experience with IMS and EVM Agile Alignment
- Experience using GitLab or Atlassian
- Strong technical aptitude and experience leading teams in delivering quality software
- Experience in coaching teams on Agile practices and facilitating continuous improvement
- Proficiency in using metrics to assess team performance and drive improvements
- SAFe Release Train Engineer certification or equivalent Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC))
- Active U.S. Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
