This entry-to-mid-level role is designed for professionals with a strong foundation in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization who are eager to expand into Linux, automation, and advanced cloud services.

You'll gain exposure to a wide range of technologies while working closely with senior engineers to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure that supports critical business operations.

The schedule for this position includes:
Participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Weekend maintenance windows (planned in advance) to support critical patching, upgrades, and changes
Occasional data center work such as racking, cabling, and validating hardware installations

Server Operations & Support - Deliver Level 1-2 support across Windows and Linux environments, troubleshoot and escalate issues, and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Monitoring & Maintenance - Track system performance using tools like System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Zabbix, support patching and configuration, and document incidents and resolutions.
Cloud & Infrastructure - Assist with provisioning and managing Microsoft Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Entra Active Directory (Entra AD) Connect, role-based access control (RBAC), DNS, and Backup.
Security & Compliance - Apply patches and remediation steps to address vulnerabilities, follow established standards, and assist with security audits.
Projects & Collaboration - Contribute to infrastructure initiatives such as server builds, migrations, and upgrades while collaborating with IT teams and maintaining technical documentation.

What You'll Bring

Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Experience - 3-5 years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, including at least 2+ years in Windows and virtualization environments.
Technical Expertise - Proficiency with hypervisors (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Nutanix Acropolis, Hyper-V), Windows Server (2016/2019/2022/2025), basic Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), and Microsoft Azure (IaaS, Entra AD Connect, RBAC, ASR, Backup).
Directory & Tools Knowledge - Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Certificate Services, plus monitoring (SCOM, Zabbix) and configuration (SCCM, Ansible Tower).
Security & Automation - Understanding of patching, vulnerability remediation, and scripting with PowerShell.
Professional Competencies - Strong communicator, problem-solver, and collaborator who can balance multiple priorities and thrive in both independent and team-driven environments.
