Qualifications:
4-6 years of relevant experience in Information Security, Network Administration and/or System Administration with focus on Cybersecurity.
Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes, and technical security solutions (SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall Solutions, etc.).
Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
Ability to perform maintenance and operation of information security systems and tools.
Ability to execute and complete moderately complex tasks and work assignments based on defined service levels, in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate with other departments regarding technology issues or requirements to resolve or verify that the issue is fixed.
Must possess knowledge of hacker techniques, vulnerabilities, attacks and countermeasures.
General familiarity of industry compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, HITRUST).
Ability to configure and maintain server operating systems and relational databases.
Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and gather information leading to resolution.
Ability to work with a team to resolve problems.
Ability to excel in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Good to have: CEH, CISSP, CCNA, GSEC, SCCP, OSCP, CFCE, Security , or equivalent security or networking-related certification.
Responsibilities:
Actively monitoring security threats and risks.
Assisting with the configurations, engineering and deployments of new tools and features to existing toolsets.
Participate in the enforcement of Information Security policies, procedures and standard practices.
Ability to perform analysis of security alerts, reports, and logs.
Ability to respond to indications or reports of malicious or anomalous activity.
Ability to assist in the development, review and maintenance of security standards, procedures and documentation based on best practices.
Ability to provide security support for application and infrastructure-related projects.
Ability to resolve problems and assist with security incident handling.
Ability to assist with troubleshooting networking and systems problems.
Ability to conduct vulnerability scans, risk analysis, identification and evaluation of mitigation strategies.
Ability to research and report latest IT security trends and tools.
Ability to evaluate, monitor, and maintain anti-virus applications.
Assisting in technical document creation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tool Documentation.
Participating in regular meetings with internal stakeholders including team leads and managers.
Work with auditors, both internal and external, to provide evidence of compliance.
Supporting other internal stakeholders, such as the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC) as needed.
Leading Security Incident calls and response teams.
